Teaching Experience

Andrew is a current teacher at the Bloom School of Music, and a former teaching artist at the Symphonic Jazz Orchestra where he taught music fundamentals and history in elementary school classrooms for two years at King Elementary, Theodore Roosevelt Elementary and 107th St Elementary.

Andrew is a former mentor with the USC Thornton Community Education Project, where he worked with students K-12 in the LA Unified School District. Andrew taught weekly private lessons (32nd St School, Manual Arts HS, Gertz-Ressler HS), sax sectionals for school bands (Wilson HS, Foshay Learning Center, Manual Arts HS), and Elementary Arts Integration Classes (Science Center School, 32nd St School). He also regularly performed educational Concerts for the Community to various organizations throughout the South Central LA neighborhood.

Throughout LA Andrew has presented performances to the LA Phil Support Group and All Saints Beverly Hills and instructed choral ensembles at Harvard Westlake School.

Andrew has maintained a private lesson studio for many years consisting of students of all ages and levels.
